Any UK carrier, your cost. Royal Mail Tracked for small lots, DPD or Evri for larger ones. We email the address once you accept the indicative quote.

Bench-tested on receipt

Per-line grading report by email — boots, full-load thermal check, IHS / pin-grid inspection. Photos on any regrade.

Final per-line price

Confirmed pricing after test — usually within the indicative range, occasionally above on rarer SKUs, occasionally below on heavier-than-expected wear or transit damage.

What's worth sending

High-value tier

Xeon Scalable Gen 2 / Gen 3 (Cascade Lake / Ice Lake)

Gold and Platinum SKUs particularly — Gold 6xxx and Platinum 8xxx series from 2019–2022 era servers. The most-bought tier in the UK secondary market. Custom quote per chip.

Steady demand

Xeon Scalable Gen 1 (Skylake-SP)

From the original 2017–2019 Scalable servers. Lower per-chip than Gen 2/3 but still well above scrap value. Send mixed lots, we'll quote per-line.

Workstation

Xeon E-2300 / E-2200 / E-2100

Entry-server / workstation chips based on consumer-platform architecture. Modern enough that there's secondary demand. Send them in for a quote.

Older era

Xeon E5 v3 / v4 era (older)

2014–2017 era — much lower per-chip values today. We'll still quote, but the gap to scrap is smaller than on modern Scalable. Best paired with modern stock in mixed batches.

What to send with your enquiry

The more detail in the first message, the tighter the indicative quote. Useful info:

Quantity per generation — e.g. "12× Xeon Gold 6248R, 4× Platinum 8260, 8× E5-2680 v4"
Source server platform — HPE Gen10+ ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge 14G/15G, Supermicro, Lenovo ThinkSystem etc. Helps confirm generation.
Condition notes — pulled with thermal paste on, bent pins suspected, mixed working/untested, anything you've already binned as "probably dead".
Photos — top-side IHS view is enough on most chips; serial number on the underside helps on rarer SKUs.
ECC server RAM alongside? If you've got the matching DDR4/DDR5 RDIMM or LRDIMM sticks, send those too — same quote-on-receipt flow. More on ECC server RAM →

Engineering / qualification samples (ES / QS marked chips — no resale path)
Older Xeon E3 / E5 v1 / v2 era — pre-2014 chips have very limited secondary demand. Send them with modern stock if you've got both; standalone older-only batches we'd usually decline.
