Grade A pricing for working sticks that pass memtest. Per-capacity rate — speed, brand, RGB don't change the per-stick price. This page covers consumer UDIMM at fixed per-capacity prices. ECC RDIMM / LRDIMM server RAM — yes, we buy on a separate receipt-quote flow. DDR5 demand on the secondary market is strong since Intel 12th-gen+ platforms only accept it.

How we grade DDR5 sticks on receipt

Grade A — tested working

Boots cleanly in our test rig (memtest pass), no physical damage, full clip and notch present. Pays at the listed price above.

Grade B — cosmetic flaws

Passes memtest but has minor cosmetic issues — bent fin on heatspreader, sticker residue, scuffed PCB. Pays 80–90% of Grade A.

Grade C — untested

Pulled from working system but not memtested by us yet. Pays 60–80% as deposit, balance after later test.

Grade X — fails memtest

Errors during memtest, broken clip, missing IC, burnt PCB. We don't pay for these — returned at our cost or routed through our WEEE channel, your call.

How to sell your DDR5 in three steps

Build your quote

Use the live quote tool — tap + on the capacity for each stick you have. £30 minimum order; mixed batches fine.

Pack and post

Anti-static bag if you have one (mandatory for premium pricing on high-capacity sticks); bubble-wrap individually otherwise. Padded box, post via any UK carrier — Royal Mail Tracked is fine.

Get paid

We memtest each stick on receipt and email a per-line grading report (typically 1–2 business days). Once you accept, payment by Faster Payments — UK Faster Payments usually clear in your bank within an hour or two of being sent.

What we don't buy

Laptop SO-DIMM DDR5 — different page; quote-on-request via WhatsApp
RAM with broken clips, missing ICs, or visible burns — Grade X, no per-part value
Engineering-sample sticks — usually marked ES on the IC; declined
Mystery sticks with no readable markings — we'll grade what we can identify; unknowns route to recycling

Common questions about selling DDR5

5200 MT/s vs 6400 MT/s — same price?

Yes. Per-capacity rate covers all speed bins. The premium some retail buyers pay for ultra-high-speed DDR5 doesn't translate cleanly into the trade buyback channel.

EXPO/XMP profiles — does it matter?

No. We test at JEDEC-spec speeds (the baseline that the IC is rated for). XMP/EXPO profile information is part of the SPD chip but doesn't affect our pricing.

RGB DDR5 sticks — same price as plain?

Same per-capacity rate. Aesthetic damage to LEDs drops to Grade B if the LEDs are non-functional, but full memtest pass with damaged LEDs is rare — usually the LED damage comes with PCB damage.

Do you buy server DDR5 RDIMMs?

AM5 DDR5 vs LGA1700 DDR5 — same price?

Same. Once it's DDR5 (288-pin DIMM), the platform compatibility doesn't affect our buyback price.

Mixed kits and singles — OK?

Yes. We pay per individual stick. If you have a 2×16GB kit and a 2×32GB kit, send all 4 sticks — they get paid as 2 × 16GB + 2 × 32GB at our per-capacity rates.
